ok. I've just done a fresh etch install and http://wiki.debian.org/Xen So far so good. Although the boot still stalls on with ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:1f.2[B] -> GSI 19 (low level) -> IRQ 18 but only for 1 second compared to the 6 seconds I was getting before. Perhaps this indicates that I didn't configure the kernel correctly but I've gone over the config time and time again and haven't percieved any mistakes. I'll keep testing this machine and if there are no freezes, I'll stick with xen3.0.3 that comes in the package. Cheers. Chirs. Maybe http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_debian_etch will help. It would be nice if you could tell me if you succeeded. regards, Oliver > > AFAIK Etch contains already an xen kernel(s) - for instance x86-64 Package linux-image-xen-amd64?! > Is it possible to install xen-3.1.0 but use the debian prepared kernels? -- GMX FreeMail: 1 GB Postfach, 5 E-Mail-Adressen, 10 Free SMS.
