[Xen-devel] Live Migration performace analysis

Hello Xen folks,

 

I wanted to gather some performance data that can quantify the overhead occurred due to live migration of domains. I have the following three metrics in mind:

 

1. Number of milliseconds elapsed between the Migration Start and Migration Stop events.
2. Total number of pages copied from the source node to the destination node for the migration to finish successfully.
3. Writable working set in each iteration of the iterative pre-copy stage (this will be a subset of 2.) )

 

Is there a tool that can help me get the information? Can I get that information from any of the metrics provided by Xentop or Xenmon tools in the Xen distribution?
