Also, I could not get it to read the physical hard drive until I explicitly used the /dev prefix for the cdrom. disk = [ 'phy:/dev/sdb6,hda,w', 'phy:/dev/hdc,hdc:cdrom,r'] Now I can boot to cdrom, without having to make an image.
