Hi, I have installed xen 3.0.3 on gentoo 2006.1 The machine is a laptop with amd turion x2 ML-60. I can boot into xen, xend stars normally. Creation of linux domU is successfull but I can't create a windows domU. When I try to create it no error message appears, and it is shown on the xm list domains, but without any status. The configuration file is: kernel = "/usr/lib64/xen/boot/hvmloader" builder='hvm' memory = 512 name = "winxp" disk = [ 'file:/xen-images/windows/winxp.img,ioemu:hda,w', 'file:/xen-images/windows/vista.iso,ioemu:hdc:cdrom,r' ] device_model = '/usr/lib64/xen/bin/qemu-dm' boot="d" cdrom = "/dev/hdc" sdl=1 vnc=0 vncviewer=0 The xm dmesg shows : __ __ _____ ___ _____ ___ \ \/ /___ _ __ |___ / / _ \ |___ / / _ \ \ // _ \ '_ \ |_ \| | | | |_ \ __| | | | / \ __/ | | | ___) | |_| | ___) |__| |_| | /_/\_\___|_| |_| |____(_)___(_)____/ \___/ http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/netos/xen University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory Xen version 3.0.3-0 (root@(none)) (gcc version 4.1.1 (Gentoo 4.1.1)) Mon Nov 20 15:53:32 CET 2006 Latest ChangeSet: unavailable (XEN) Command line: /boot/xen-3.0.3-0.gz dom0_mem=256M console=tty0 (XEN) Physical RAM map: (XEN) 0000000000000000 - 000000000009fc00 (usable) (XEN) 000000000009fc00 - 00000000000a0000 (reserved) (XEN) 00000000000e0000 - 0000000000100000 (reserved) (XEN) 0000000000100000 - 0000000077fd0000 (usable) (XEN) 0000000077fd0000 - 0000000077fe5600 (reserved) (XEN) 0000000077fe5600 - 0000000077ff8000 (ACPI NVS) (XEN) 0000000077ff8000 - 0000000080000000 (reserved) (XEN) 00000000e0000000 - 00000000f0000000 (reserved) (XEN) 00000000fec00000 - 00000000fec02000 (reserved) (XEN) 00000000ffbc0000 - 00000000ffcc0000 (reserved) (XEN) 00000000fff00000 - 0000000100000000 (reserved) (XEN) System RAM: 1919MB (1965500kB) (XEN) Xen heap: 14MB (14420kB) (XEN) DMI 2.4 present.
