To start with, you need to update module_init_tools in the DomUs-  the 
jailtime.org images (and thus the supplied modprobe versions)  are for 
linux 2.4 kernels, whereas Xen3 only works with 2.6 kernels.
this is almost certainly the cause of your iptables problem;  it may or 
may not help the networking problem.
