I've got a system with 3 nics. eth0 is down, eth1 is external and eth2 is internal. (This is in a "lab" so the "external" is a 10.x.x.x address.) Before starting xen, the broadcast for eth2 is 192.168.1.255, after starting it becomes 0.0.0.0 - which sure doesn't look right to me - plus I'm getting networking problems. Been digging for a while and not having any luck. This is a xen 3.0.1 system, logs and config files below. Any ideas on this one? My ifconfig before starting xen: eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:48:59:20:BC inet addr:10.10.4.25 Bcast:10.10.255.255 Mask:255.255.0.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:192 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:126 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:5 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:20633 (20.1 Kb) TX bytes:26912 (26.2 Kb) Interrupt:26 eth2 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:48:59:20:BD inet addr:192.168.1.1 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b) Interrupt:27 lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b) After starting xend: root@rc25:~# /etc/init.d/xend start root@rc25:~# ifconfig eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:48:59:20:BC inet addr:10.10.4.25 Bcast:10.10.255.255 Mask:255.255.0.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:469 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:246 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:8 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:47514 (46.4 Kb) TX bytes:43360 (42.3 Kb) Interrupt:26 eth2 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:48:59:20:BD inet addr:192.168.1.1 Bcast:0.0.0.0 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b) lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b) peth2 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF UP BROADCAST NOARP MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b) Interrupt:27 vif0.0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b) xenbr0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b) :::::::::::::: xend-debug.log :::::::::::::: Nothing to flush. :::::::::::::: xend.log :::::::::::::: [2006-05-23 06:30:46 xend] INFO (SrvDaemon:278) Xend Daemon started [2006-05-23 06:30:46 xend] INFO (SrvDaemon:282) Xend changeset: Tue Jan 31 11:04:12 2006 +0100 8738:e ff96462fde8.
