The start is not possible because netatalk is unable to modify the eth0 device for working/registering with Etherlink on the network card. Does somebody know howto solve this problem?i haven't tried it on Xen, but i think the 'special' needs of netatalkare related to the AppleTalk protocol over Ethernet. you set afpd to use only TCP, even disable the appletalk protocol in the kernel. these days evenApple makes AppleTalk optional for AppleShare.yes I know, but we are using several old Apple Systems (Imagesetter, Printers) so I need the "normal" afpd :( One other approach could be to use a MacOS X Server machine to do the print spooling for the PAP devices. Then your xen guests could use standard TCP/IP without multicast.
