Yes , Okay. You are probably right. But do you have any idea how my 
grub.conf should look like?
Today it look like this to load evms-root-stuff ;)

title Gentoo
kernel /kernel-genkernel-x86-2.6.13-gentoo-r3 root=/dev/ram0 
real_root=/dev/evms/root init=/linuxrc udev doevms2
initrd /initramfs-genkernel-x86-2.6.13-gentoo-r3
