When its in the bad state, please can you try putting eth0 into 'promisc' mode e.g. ifconfig eth0 promisc up The other thing to try is using brctl to remove eth0 from the bridge and then re-add it. If that doesn't work, try running /etc/xen/scripts/network stop /etc/xen/scripts/network start You could also try unloading the modulefor your network card between the two. If any of these work we'll have a better idea of what is going on.
