Since I've seen a number of recent posts from folks announcing their successful Xen installations, I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and state that, I, too, have recently successfully installed Xen testing on Debian Unstable. A few notes: - I used a combination of sources, including the Xen docs, to figure out the particulars for my setup, which includes two SATA drives which I'm software RAID1'ing, and LVM on top of that. Many thanks to the many folks who have shared additional information regarding Xen installation and configuration. - I did not use any Debian packages to do so, relying instead on a clone of the testing repository and make to do the dirty work. I've done a pull and rebuild since then and am running on Xen/2.6.11.8 - I've experienced one bug that has been previously reported: http://bugzilla.xensource.com/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35 which regards a network shutdown that hangs until keyboard input. - I continue to modify my own set of scripts to assist in creating new domains (deboostrap'd sarge installs) and running them. Many thanks, Jim Greer _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
