indeed, Mark. the other machines use python 2.3. so the python 2.4
causes this trouble.

great trick, it works for me. I just made
/var/lib/xen/xend-db/{domain,vnet}, then xend could start.

to tell the truth, in fact I used to try that trick: after looking at
the debug log, I was back to made the {domain} directory. then the
second error about {vnet} arose. I thougt myself: WTF, how many
directories will I need to make manually this way, then I gave up and
posted to the list to ask ;-)
