Sorry, I forgot to address this point clearly in my previous email. Unless I'm mistaken I think that the scheme that I am using is very similar to the RIDs used in head.S. That is the ones set using SET_ONE_RR(), which is based on IA64_REGION_ID_KERNEL(=0).
