This same machine works exactly as expected with the non-Xen kernel. With the Xen kernel, I get the following possibly interesting messages on boot: Jan 14 15:37:46 nec4p1 syslogd 1.4.1: restart. No, that does not appear to work either. I am just not getting any output on the console from xen or dom0 on the one machine. What could be causing this? I'm going to carefully re-examine the boot messages and the linux build (.config) file... Anyone have any ideas? ---Kayvan -----Original Message----- From: Alex Williamson [mailto:alex.williamson@xxxxxx] Sent: Friday, January 11, 2008 6:31 PM To: Kayvan Sylvan Cc: xen-ia64-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [Xen-ia64-devel] Was there a change in xen-3.2-rc5? bootmessages not showing up to console On Fri, 2008-01-11 at 16:06 -0800, Kayvan Sylvan wrote: > Did something change between xen-3.2-unstable rc4 and rc5 with the > console output handling? > I still get xen & dom0 console output on all my systems with xen-unstable.hg cset 16707. Can you copy the xen and vmlinuz binaries from one to the other and see if they still work/fail the same way?
