In fact we don't closely track tianocore but there are some good reasons to update in the near future: Adding NVRAM requires configuration work: changing the memory map, changing the driver to handle variables... Currently configuration is IMHO a nightmare mostly because it is based on java tools and it takes a long time to have the first file compiled. Tianocore is currently changing its configuration tools: mostly (?) python based, text files instead of xml files. I *hope* this will ease development. That's the reason why I prefer to wait for the end of tianocore transition before making some fundamental changes (such as mapping) in the GFW.
