   Why would I need any GFW?  I'm only booting PV domains on this
system.

   Akio posted a patch for this, you might apply that. I'm afraid an old
changeset with the nvram patch may be too different.  FWIW, I'm having
trouble reproducing the reboot/shutdown problem now too.  I'll
investigate more to see if I can find the recipe.  Thanks,
