  • List-id: Discussion of the ia64 port of Xen <xen-ia64-devel.lists.xensource.com>

Hi!

There is a long time that I`m trying to boot xen-ia64 with more that one processor!
It boots OK with one processor, but when I set in dom0_max_vcpus more that one it crashs!

I`m using Fedora Core 5 ia64 on an HP rx5670

My step-bt-step are here:
# make world
# make KERNELS="linux-2.6-xen0 linux-2.6-xenU"
# make install-tools
# cp xen.gz /boot/efi/efi/redhat
# cp vmlinux /boot/efi/efi/redhat
# cp xlilo.efi /boot/efi/efi/redhat
# make modules_install ( in linux-2.6-xen0)
# mv /lib/tls /lib/tls.disabled

I used the command below to created the initrd :

depmod 2.6.16.13-xen0
mkinitrd -v -f --builtin=mptbase --builtin=mptscsih /boot/efi/efi/redhat/initrd- xen.img 2.6.16.13-xen0

and booted on EFI using:
xlilo xen

------------------------------------
My elilo.conf is here:
-------------------------------------
prompt
timeout=20
default=linux
relocatable

image=vmlinuz-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5
    label=linux
    initrd=initrd-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5.img
    read-only
    append="rhgb quiet root=LABEL=/"

image=vmlinux-2.6.16.13-xen0
   label=xen
   vmm=xen.gz
   initrd=initrd-xen.img
   read-only
   append="com2=57600,8n1 console=com2 sched=bvt dom0_mem=512M dom0_max_vcpus=4 -- nomca console=tty0 console=ttyS1,57600,8n1 rhgb root=/dev/sda4"

-----------------------------------------

The logs are annexed, and my dom0 hangs on "RADEON FB".

Thanks for help.
