Hi, The output of the xm info oes below (you can see only 1GB is visible):(FYI: to compile I just entered "make world -j4" and that's all - I assume the vanilla kernel i properly patched when you "make world") [root@S4-2GB-078 linux-2.6.16.13-xen]# xm info host : S4-2GB-078 release : 2.6.16.13-xen version : #2 SMP Mon Jul 24 14:11:10 CEST 2006 machine : ia64 nr_cpus : 2 nr_nodes : 1 sockets_per_node : 2 cores_per_socket : 1 threads_per_core : 1 cpu_mhz : 1300hw_caps : 00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000:0 0000000:00000000: total_memory : 998 free_memory : 695 xen_major : 3 xen_minor : 0 xen_extra : -unstable xen_caps : xen-3.0-ia64 xen_pagesize : 16384 platform_params : virt_start=0xe800000000000000 xen_changeset : unavailable cc_compiler : gcc version 3.4.5 20051201 (Red Hat 3.4.5-2) cc_compile_by : root cc_compile_domain : (none) cc_compile_date : Thu Jul 13 14:51:09 CEST 2006 Tristan Gingold napisaÅ(a): Le Lundi 24 Juillet 2006 12:40, Piotr Siwczak a Ãcrit :Hi, I've recently started to set up xen on one of my itanium servers. The domains boot smoothly with only one thing being "salt-in-the-eye:. I cannot assign more than about 700MB to all my machines. My node has 2Gb of RAM in total. I found on mailing lists, that you should enable high memory support in the kernel's config. This should be located in "Processor type and features" tab in "make menuconfig". I cannot find this option for itanium. I tried to enable the "Virtual mem map" for both domO and domU with no luck. Can anyone help me with this?Recent versions of Xen support sparse memory. Which version are you using ? What is the result of 'xm info' from dom0 ? NB: I was able to run Xen on a 48GB machine! Xen recognized all the memory.
