Can shared_info be changed randomly at any time by a domain? Will this cause any problems? If this hypercall can/should be called only very early during boot, it would be good to add some checks to disallow it from being called at a later time. > -----Original Message----- > From: Tristan Gingold [mailto:Tristan.Gingold@xxxxxxxx] > Sent: Thursday, June 22, 2006 3:23 AM > To: xen-ia64-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; Magenheimer, Dan (HP > Labs Fort Collins); Williamson, Alex (Linux Kernel Dev) > Subject: PATCH: allow domain to set shared_info address > > Hi, > > this patch add a new hypercall to set shared_info address. > Currently it is disabled in order not to break backward > compatibility with > previous Xen (for FC6 people). > > Tested by booting dom0+domU (2w) using old address > Tested by booting dom0+domU (2w) using -1MB address. > > Tristan. > _______________________________________________ Xen-ia64-devel mailing list Xen-ia64-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-ia64-devel
