[Xen-ia64-devel] Weekly Xen-IA64/VTI status report.

Hi all,

In this week, Jingke help to do a full testing for Xen-IA64. The results will 
be shown at the bottom of this email.

Major Issues:
XenU can not be created after some domain creating and destroying in 10199. But 
in yesterday Cset, didn't meet this problem. Will track it next week.

VTI and XenU network are okay. Will do more testing and send out testing report 
next week. 

Most of testing cases can pass nightly automatically testing. But 2 XenU 
coexist case and 1VTI+1XenU coexist case met once failure.

    Machine                     : Itanium 2 on Tiger4
        Xen Source tree : xen-ia64-unstable
    Changeset           : 10199 -> 10235
        Build method            : make -j3 with default kernel config.
        Xen0 Memory             : 512M
        XenU Memory     : 256M/512M
        VTI Memory              : 256M/512M
    Xen0 OS                     : RHEL4 U2 (with nosmp config)
    VTI OS                      : RHEL4 U2 (vcpus=1)
    XenU OS                     : RHEL4 U2 (with nosmp config) 


Xen-IA64 testing report (by Jingke)
IPF/Xen full testing on Cset 10022
Physical Memory: 8G
Xen0 Memory: 1024M
Xen0 OS: RHEL4u3
Without marking "(Fail)", items are passing.

1. Basic xm command: start, stop, list, status(Fail), vcpu-list
2. VTI creating with different memory: 300M, 256M, 512M, 1024M, 2048M, 3072M, 
3073M(Fail)
3. XenU creating with different memory: 300M, 256M, 512M, 1024M, 2048M, 3096M, 
4192M
4. VTI with 4 disk image files: pass
5. VTI with physical disk: pass
6. XENU with physical disk: FAIL, xen0 kernel panic.
7. 8 VTI domains coexist: pass
8. 10 VTI domains coexist: FAIL, can not create more than 8 domains.
9. 8 XENU domains coexist: pass
10. 10 XenU domains coexist: FAIL, can not create more than 8 domains.
11. VTI Linux function testing: pass (with basic operation in VTI)
12. Kernel Build in VTI: pass
13. VTI booting from CD-ROM: pass.
14. XenU Linux function testing: pass (do some operations in xenU)
15. Kernel Build in XenU: pass
16. sdl or vnc mode for VTI domain: pass
17. SMP XenU testing: pass
18. Wrong configuration testing: pass (Give the wrong config to try to create 
domains, there should be some wrong information. But if some information are 
wrong, e.g. if create domain without start xend, it only said there isn't 
config file.)
