  • List-id: Discussion of the ia64 port of Xen <xen-ia64-devel.lists.xensource.com>

Hello! :)

I`m yet trying to install xen on my Debian Sarge 3.1/ia64!
So, I`m trying to install using the "./install.sh" but I think that it isn`t possible on the unstable version, am I correct?

debian-ia64:~/xen-ia64-unstable.hg# ./install.sh
ERROR: Could not find a valid distribution directory.
If this is a source-only release, try 'make dist'.

The xen works on my pentium, on my xeon, but I don`t know how to install it on my Itanium2 (hp workstation zx2000)

Thanks!

This looks like a pretty old version of binutils (and hence gas).
This does not occur on Debian sid; if you're on testing or even
sarge, you'll need to upgrade to much newer versions of gas (aka
the assembler, aka binutils).
