It seems that linux-2.6-xen-sparse is not properly set up so that 
improper highmem.h is used.
The xen/ia64 build system is somewhat fragile, I think.

Please check the following files.
 linux-2.6-xen-sparse/arch/ia64/xen-mkbuildtree-pre
 linux-2.6-xen-sparse/include/linux.xen-x86/highmem.h
 linux-2.6.16-rc5-xen{0, U}/include/linux/highmem.h
