I have seen this error every boot for months, but it has always been harmless and the boot continues. I suspect your problem is occurring after that but the printfs are not making it to the console. Is anyone else seeing the same problem as Haavard? > -----Original Message----- > From: Haavard Bjerke [mailto:havard.bjerke@xxxxxxx] > Sent: Thursday, October 27, 2005 2:21 AM > To: Magenheimer, Dan (HP Labs Fort Collins) > Cc: Tristan Gingold; xen-ia64-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: [Xen-ia64-devel] Xen/ia64 build error > > OK, using cs 7502, Xenlinux boots quite far until I get this > error, and the > machine reboots: > > vcpu_translate: bad address 0000000000000010, viip=a000000100945f00, > vipsr=0000001008022018, iip=a0000001009g > > Haavard > > On Tue, Oct 25, 2005 at 07:13:20AM -0700, Magenheimer, Dan > (HP Labs Fort Collins) wrote: > > It works for me, but just to check I cloned a fresh tree > > (changeset 7502) from > > > > http://xenbits.xensource.com/ext/xen-ia64-unstable.hg > > > > onto my rx2600 with RH3.2 (and the default gcc 3.2.3) > > and just typed 'make' in the xen-ia64-unstable.hg > > directory.
