Does anybody care if I turn on CONFIG_MCKINLEY by default?
As far as I know, nobody has gotten Xen/ia64 working on a
Merced box and I suspect CONFIG_MCKINLEY is harmless to
"future" Itanium chips... it's turned on by default in
Linux/ia64 I think.

Why? There's a significant performance opportunity (~12-15%)
that is disabled if CONFIG_MCKINLEY is not enabled. See
arch/ia64/setup.c:cpu_init() if you are interested in
the exact code.

Unless I hear objections, I will turn it on in config.h.

Thanks,
Dan
