From the pov of updating osstest to Linux 4.9:

I think the last thing we want in our main kernel for osstest is more
heisenbugs.  So I propose to wait for this fix to make it into
osstest-tested version of linux-4.9.

Konrad, can you please CC me on the pull request so I can track this ?
