I'm not following this, the dom0=... option was added by me for PVHv2 Dom0,
dom0=pvh,shadow has always been valid. What's the problem with that?

It's always been possible to specify dom0=pvh,shadow since PVHv2 Dom0 was
introduced, there's no change here at all.
