[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Xen-devel] Want to update osstest to use Linux 4.1 but it does not work :-/
The main Xen Project osstest instance is still using Linux 3.14 which
is ancient. It would be nice to update to something newer. 4.1 was
suggested.
However, I went to look at the most recent test results for the Linux
4.1 branch. It can't start guests reliably:
osstest service owner writes ("[linux-4.1 test] 101004: tolerable FAIL -
PUSHED"):
> flight 101004 linux-4.1 real [real]

> test-armhf-armhf-xl-credit2 11 guest-start fail in 101001 pass in 101004
> test-armhf-armhf-libvirt-qcow2 6 xen-boot fail pass in 101001
> test-amd64-amd64-xl 19 guest-start/debian.repeat fail pass in 101001
> test-amd64-amd64-libvirt-xsm 17 guest-start/debian.repeat fail pass in 101001
The Debian guest (jessie, seems to be running systemd) prints:
[0m] A start job is running for dev-xvda1.device (1min 29s / 1min 30s)
[0m] Timed out waiting for device dev-xvda1.device.
We also have this:
[ 3.447337] systemd-udevd[952]: segfault at 5644df9ce000 ip
00007f34a1d99761 sp 00007ffc65870538 error 4 in
libblkid.so.1.1.0[7f34a1d77000+3b000]
Here are the full logs.

Is there a known problem with Linux 4.1 as a PV disk backend ?
Ian.
