I'd expect ARM to already implement a subset of this (i.e. 0 or negative, perhaps with a subset of the possible errno values), which I'd then expect libxc to just cope with without it constituting a second model. IOW I don't think there should be (or indeed is) any special casing of ARM vs x86 here or one model vs another, just a case of one arch only using a subset of the expressibility of the interface.
