I appreciate the CONFIG_Linux thing is pre-existing, and stems from being unable to build stubdoms on other platforms, but should we consider building these supporting tools anyway, after all a user might get a suitable stubdom via some other means? Yes, this is actually rather easy to do: compile the stubdom on Linux and just copy the .gz over; starting a stubdom doesn't actually rely on using the tool. The reason this is linux-specific is that the IOCTL_XENBUS_BACKEND_SETUP call on /dev/xen/xenbus_backend is (afaik) only implemented in Linux.
