Hrm, right.
(This all seems rather unsatisfactory but I guess it's where we are.
ISTM that part of what's needed is a version of MADV_DONTFORK which
causes children to get a mapping of nothing, with PROT_NONE, for the
relevant ranges. Then you could safely munmap.)
