And in particular, we have an instance running [libvirt+libxl] with the the OpenStack CI loop, and it passes. Re moving from xenopsd -- I think one of the big things XenServer has run into is the error reporting from libxl. Rob Hoes posted some preliminary patches back in June[1], but there hasn't been a repost yet, AFAICS.
