I thought git > send-email/format-patch obeyed the same option just fine though. Ditto, I think you may have pasted the output of the commit. Either way I take it you see now what I see. Either way, at least internally it seems git knows what's up. For review this can be an inconvenience though. We'll have to try to fix this upstream on git if its a bug.
