But that aside - please report SUSE specific problems on SUSE specific lists. Albeit - there's no openSUSE around with kernel 3.12.17, so it's entirely unclear to me what environment you're using. That's probably the first thing you should state when re-sending your problem report in the right forum. Also, pointing to a few upstream Linux things (like you did, quoted below) without meaningful comments as to what it is you are thinking or asking isn't very helpful.
