I've seen this before.  The configure timed out.  It's allowed 300s.
The timestamp on the logfile suggests it took 316.

I think our configure has simply got bigger (even in 4.3) and on a
busy machine (machines being used for building can be shared) it can
simply take a while.

So I propose to double the timeout, unless someone objects and
proposes another route for investigation.
