Just to make sure I understand this whole thing fully: This is targeted against long running AOs that have a lot of intermittent "events",
each of which may cause more memory allocations. By creating throwaway-ao's for these events, one can service these events asynchronously (if they are long running by themselves) while quickly reclaiming the memory after event completion.
