My personal TODO list contains an item to add a
./configure --with-system-qemu[=PATH]
build option which disables the qemu upstream build and instead uses the
existing distro provided qemu (default /usr/bin/$somethingTBD).
FWIW I would also like to add --disable-qemu-traditional at the same
time.
Of course if someone was to beat me to it I'd be very pleased to review
a patch instead of writing it (especially given that autoconf is
involved ;-))
