FYI, it would be nice to cc the maintainer when you submit such a major functionality change,
especially for the xend code base that has so far been the only stable workable remus solution.

Just FYI, as we're in a feature freeze this can't be accepted until
the 4.3 release sometime in June; and since in the mean time we'll be
trying to get other features sorted and bugs fixed, you may not get
much review time until then.
