Tim,
 
I have just resubmitted the patch to handle multiple frame buffers.
It was built on top of two recent patches in the same area: a security patch and the race condition fix.
 
If it is accepted, I will start on a follow-up work item that you suggested:
to eliminate the code I added that iterates through the page tables
and replace it with a slightly augmented version of older code that does a similar thing.
