I forgot to address your dom0 kernel concern - All of these tests have been run with Konrad Wilk's acpi-s3.vX branches. The later kernels took more recent branches, while the 3.2.yy kernels used an older (but still functional) branch (acpi-s3.v7) For reference: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/konrad/xen.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/devel/acpi-s3.v7 On Tue, Sep 4, 2012 at 8:27 AM, Ben Guthro <ben@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I've put the console log of this test run here: > https://citrix.sharefile.com/d/sdc383e252fb41c5a > > (again, so as not to clog everyone's inbox) > > I have not yet gone through the log in its entirety yet, but thought I > would first send it to you to see if you had something in particular > you were looking for. > > The file name is console-S3-MSI.txt > > > On Mon, Sep 3, 2012 at 5:31 AM, Jan Beulich <JBeulich@xxxxxxxx> wrote: >>>>> On 16.08.12 at 13:56, Ben Guthro <ben@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: >>> Please let me know if there are anything else you'd like me to experiment >>> with. >> >> Attached a first take at a debugging patch. >> >> While putting this together I realized that the situation gets >> complicated by the fact that plain Linux 3.2.23 doesn't even >> have support for post-S3 MSI restoration, so much would >> depend on how exactly this is implemented in the kernel >> you're running (i.e. whether you have a _complete_ backport >> in place).
