We will definitely apply to be a GSoC mentoring org and we are likely to get accepted (we have been in the last 2 years; there is no reason why we won't get accepted this year). We do not have a project list yet. We are starting to brainstorm. It is entirely OK for a student to propose a project idea. Once we know that Xen has been accepted as a mentoring organisation we will form a committee to select the most promising project ideas. We will be much more careful with our projects this year: some of the projects last year were too ambitious for students. Watch the blog and mailing list. You may get a better feeling of what is interesting (assuming you want to propose a project yourselves). Also of course if we know a student and know that he/she can deliver the project, you have an advanyage over somebody we never heard of.
