[Xen-devel] online resize vbd xen 4

Hello.

I need online resize vbd images under xen 4 (using sles sp1 in dom0 and
opensuse 11.3 in domU).

I found, that novell already write the patch to allow online resizing
vbd, but i'm use gpfs and raw file images (via tap:aio). Why thos patch
does not work with file images (not lvm) ?
If i resize file image via dd if=/dev/zero bs=xxx seek=xxx of=image.img
and write via xenstore new sectors to running domains vbd, why disk not
grows in domU and nothing printed in dmesg?
What i need to online resize file images?

P.S. In images i'm use ext3 that supports online resizing.
