I haven't tried w2k often, put rendering the boot screen using VGA emulation has always been very painful. We have the buffered vga write patch in place, but I've never done any profiling of it to check its working as intended. Have you seen this run better in the past? We can't really change the interface and allow xm to return "too busy", so we'll just have to queue create requests for admission.
