[Xen-devel] VMware crashes with recent 3.0

Hello,

we do miscellaneous experiments with -unstable by booting a Linux-Dom0
inside a VMware-Workstation (5.0.0 build 13124). Where -unstable until
September 1st worked quite well, VMware crashes with the default
dom0-build at least from last Friday on (September 9th, maybe earlier
but not before 1st). The Xen/dom0 boot console now always predictably
stops at "Scrubbing Free RAM..." (even with this option disabled inside
Dom0 kernel config) and then the VMware pops up a window stating

  "VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (vcpu-0)
   Unexpected signal: 7.
A log file is available in /home/vmware/vmware.log".
Please request support and include the contents of the log file."

[excerpt from the log file provided below]

Well, I have a separate request running with VMware of course, however,
maybe someone here can nudge me towards what might have happened with
the recent -unstable such that VMware (a binary unchanged for months)
crashes that unyieldingly...

The compiler used to set up -unstable is gcc-Version 3.4.4 (Gentoo
3.4.4-r1, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8).

Thanks for any hints,
