How do these two go together with ballooning ?

#define pfn_to_page(pfn)        (mem_map + (pfn))
#define pfn_valid(pfn)          ((pfn) < max_mapnr)

I'll comb through the changeset you mentioned.  Maybe I'll
find something ;)
