What you are looking for is a suite of host h/w CIM instrumentation. This is somewhat outside the scope of Xen-CIM itself - which is more focussed on implementing CIM interfaces for just the *virtualization* specific stuff in Xen - but there are a couple of existing Open Source projects that cover host instrumentation. See the sblim project cmpi-base packages (http://sblim.sourceforge.net/instrumentation.html) and the OMC Project (http://developer.novell.com/wiki/index.php/OMC). These should give you a number of providers covering the basic h/w instrumentation. - Gareth Dr. Gareth S. Hi, I am looking for something similar to CIM-WMI(as used in windows to retrieve hard ware info)to retrieve hard ware info over linux OS. I have got a fully virtualized system having Fedora core 6 as a host including xen 3.0.3. And on top of xen is SuSE 10 as a guest OS. So my question is from where can i download cim to retrieve info of hardware of SuSE 10. I am quite new to linux, xen and cim. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
