[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1397] New: network-bridge trips up if network has 'metric' set - causes no xenbr0

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1397

           Summary: network-bridge trips up if network has 'metric' set -
                    causes no xenbr0
           Product: Xen
           Version: 3.0.0
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Tools
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: walshes@xxxxxxxxx

Code to compute 'vifnum' inside network-bridge gets tripped up if your network
address has a metric set - the 'awk' is naive because it looks for the last
field, which will be the metric setting (likely 10, which will cause havoc to
happen).

I suggest this replacement code to compute vifnum...

vifnum=${vifnum:-$(ip route list | egrep '^default' | egrep -o '(eth[0-9]+)' |
sed 's/^[^0-9]*//')}
