[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1375] New: DomU variable time misbehavior on fully virtualized domains.

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1375

Summary: DomU variable time misbehavior on fully virtualized
                    domains.
           Product: Xen
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: x86-64
        OS/Version: Linux-2.6
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: Unspecified
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: pberlowski@xxxxxxxxxxxx

We're running a CentOS XEN kernel with 4 virtual domains. Each domain is a
CentOS Linux, fully virtualized.

Each domain seemingly randomly deviates ahead from proper time. NTPD is not
able to handle the problem gracefully and is subsequently caused to explicitly
move the time backwards which, among other problems, causes a violent suicide
on behalf of IMAP daemon (dovecot).

The /proc/sys/xen/independent_wallclock setting does not appear to have any
effect on the aforementioned behavior.

Please let me know what information are necessary to get any advice on the
issue.

CentOS kernel is 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5.centos.plusxen
Xen-detect in Dom0 reports "Running in PV context on Xen v3.1."

I am attaching the xen-bugtool output with exclusion of /var/log/messages.
