[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1159] New: dom0's eth0 cannot connect to outside in bridged mode

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1159

Summary: dom0's eth0 cannot connect to outside in bridged mode
           Product: Xen
           Version: 3.0.3
          Platform: x86-64
        OS/Version: Linux-2.6
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: Hypervisor
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: td-ifs@xxxxxx

I'm using Etch (linux-image-2.6.18-5-xen-amd64) on a DELL PE 2950 system with
two built in Broadcom NetXtreme II cards (bnx2). Only one is used at this time
in a DHCP environment - eth0.

First step - xen kernel booted but with xen in network dummy mode. No probs.
eth0 works fine.

Second step - switching bridge mode on in xend-config. Then xend restart. eth0
is available but DHCP does not work. Manual IP config works, but no outside
network is visible.

Third step - starting one domU with DHCP configured. domU can connect (ssh) to
dom0 _AND_ to outside world. An arp -na on dom0 gives me an empty list. Not
even the MAC of eth0 is visible.

Tried the ethtool patch without success. The linux system is not modified in
any special way - just out of the box.

Seems to be similar to #1052
