http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1002 Summary: ipw3945 driver does not register as a PCI device Product: Xen Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux-2.6 Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: Unspecified AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: yying2@xxxxxxxx When the ipw3945 module is loaded into the dom0 Fedora 7 2.6.20-2925.11.fc7xen kernel, it fails to register as a PCI device, thus causing the ipw3945 daemon to fail. The driver works fine on a non-Xen Linux kernel. It seems to me that the non-Xen kernel has a PCI address bound at (as a symlink like object) /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ipw3945. However, the Xen Linux dom0 kernel does not contain this symlink. As a result, ipw3945d cannot access the cmd file within that directory, causing ipw3945d to bail. Reproducible: highly ---dmesg output of the problem--- ieee80211: 802.11 data/management/control stack, git-1.1.13 ieee80211: Copyright (C) 2004-2005 Intel Corporation <jketreno@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> ipw3945: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945 Network Connection driver for Linux, 1.2.1dmpr ipw3945: Copyright(c) 2003-2006 Intel Corporation ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:03:00.0[A] -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 17 PCI: Setting latency timer of device 0000:03:00.0 to 64 ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:03:00.0 disabled --------------------------------- -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. _______________________________________________ Xen-bugs mailing list Xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-bugs
