http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=894 Summary: openbsd does no longer run with xen 3.0.4, linux networking is broken. Product: Xen Version: unstable Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: blocker Priority: P1 Component: HVM AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: xen703@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx host : unity release : 2.6.16.33-xen version : #1 SMP Mon Jan 8 14:39:10 GMT 2007 machine : i686 nr_cpus : 2 nr_nodes : 1 sockets_per_node : 1 cores_per_socket : 2 threads_per_core : 1 cpu_mhz : 2884 hw_caps : bfebfbff:20100000:00000000:00000140:0000e3bd:00000000:00000001 total_memory : 4095 free_memory : 3501 xen_major : 3 xen_minor : 0 xen_extra : .4-1 xen_caps : xen-3.0-x86_32p hvm-3.0-x86_32 hvm-3.0-x86_32p xen_pagesize : 4096 platform_params : virt_start=0xf5800000 xen_changeset : Mon Jan 08 14:08:36 2007 +0000 13131:90d67d032114 cc_compiler : gcc version 3.4.4 20050314 (prerelease) (Debian 3.4.3-13) cc_compile_by : shand cc_compile_domain : localdomain cc_compile_date : Mon Jan 8 14:09:48 GMT 2007 xend_config_format : 3 I just downloaded the binary dist from the xensource website, the linux guests boot, but as soon as I tried to do some networking stuff the network broke (didn't do further investigation) - and did not recover. but what's really sad is, that openbsd no longer runs. it hangs at pccom0: console upon boot. I then replaced the hvmloader with the one from 3.0.3, then it goes past that, but hangs about 5 lines later at: nvram: invalid checksum disabling the serial output did not inprove the situation. >From where I stand, 3.0.4 does not run openbsd 4.0 and it breaks appart as soon as I do some scp from one node to another. Just in case someone is asking, why someone ruins a nice running 3.0.3 setup: 3.0.3 does seriously damage the filesystems on my HVMs... -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. _______________________________________________ Xen-bugs mailing list Xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-bugs
