I tried upgrading back to 3.0.0, setting the MTU on the physical Ethernet
interface, eth1000 (this system has no "eth0" and I presume you meant the main
interface in use), to 1400, restarted the domU and ran some tests. No
improvement, the symptoms are exactly the same.
